Flavour Notes: Intense and complex – velvety chocolate, strawberries and floral notes.
Incredibly intense and complex, the different flavour notes coming in waves. Look out for intense florals, ripe strawberries, mango, limes and oranges, all covered with velvety melted chocolate. The beans are of the Heirloom variety of Arabica and they have been ‘naturally’ processed – dried in the sun, still within the coffee cherry. This explains the wonderful fruitiness.

Our Rocko Mountain Reserve is an incredible natural processed coffee grown by smallholders based around the Rocko Mountain in the Haricha Woreda, Yirgacheffe. Much of the coffee is grown under shade trees alongside other crops in garden plots and is harvested by hand.

It’s widely believed that coffee originates from Ethiopia and today there are over 1000 indigenous varieties growing wild in the mountain forests there. These varieties are responsible for some of the most coveted cup profiles in the world and while the first steps to separating the varieties into individual lots are underway, coffee in Ethiopia is currently organised by key producing regions such as Harar Sidamo and Yirgacheffe.

This coffee rocks. I’ve been subscribing for about 6 months, and I’ve enjoyed every coffee from footprint, but after drinking this a few times, I had to go and take a look exactly what it was and where it came from.
