What information do we collect and why?
When you place an order with us we collect your Name, Email Address, Delivery Address, Payment Details and Order Details. This is so that we can process and fulfil your order and keep you up to date with it’s progress.
We may also collect information about your coffee preferences so that we can send/recommend products that we think you will enjoy.
If you enter a competition, take part in a promotion or sign up to our newsletter we collect your name and email address so that we can notify winners or pass on voucher codes etc.
We will also use your email address to tell you about our news such as new products, services or promotions that we are offering. If you decide that you do not wish to receive such emails you can unsubscribe from our mailing list at any time.
How do we protect your information?
We always use secure systems and reputable professional organisations to provide secure data processing functions and collect the minimum amount of data.
When you place an order or access your online account your details are encrypted and transferred by secure server (SSL).
We cannot see your account password.
Your bank and/or credit card details are not known to or stored by us. They are managed by our vetted and approved online payment providers, Stripe, Paypal or GoCardless.
Will we pass on your information to others ?
Footprint Coffee Ltd. will not sell, rent or transfer your information to any outside parties whatsoever.
However, your order data is stored via secure, cloud based providers namely, Woo Commerce for customer orders; Sendinblue for email contacts and your choice of payment gateway.
How long do we hold your information for ?
We undertake to ensure that we do not hold your information for longer than necessary. Customer order information is held for up to 2 years following receipt of the most recent order. Names and email addresses are held for up to 2 years after you unsubscribe from our mailing list or withdraw you consent to be contacted to ensure that you are not contacted by mistake.
Applicable Lawful Basis:
We hold personal information for customer orders and direct enquiries under the lawful basis of contract. In placing an order you are entering into a contract with us to supply the goods ordered/paid for. And, in making an enquiry you have asked us to do something for you before entering into a contract.
We hold personal information for potential customers who sign up to our newsletter or enter one of our competitions under the lawful basis of consent. This is because in giving us your contact details you are specifically agreeing that we can contact you with information about competition results, news and Footprint Coffee promotions.
You may withdraw your consent to be contacted at any time either by unsubscribing from our mailing list or by contacting us directly.
Right of access: You can request a copy of the information we hold about your from your account dashboard if you are a registered customer or you can request it from us by email. We will verify your identity and will supply you with a copy of the information that we hold within one month.
Right of rectification: If you discover an error in the information that we hold about you you can amend it from your account dashboard or request by email that we update it for you. We may ask to verify your identity and will update your details as quickly as possible and within one month of your request.
Right of erasure: You may ask for your data to be deleted either from your account dashboard or by contacting us directly. We will verify your identity and respond to your request within one month.
Right to withdraw consent / restrict processing: You may withdraw your consent for direct marketing or any other processing of your data by us at any time – this can be done by unsubscribing to an email or by contacting us directly. We will update your preferences and you will not be contacted by us again.
Right to data Portability: You may request a copy of the data that we hold in machine-readable format so that you can re-use it elswhere. You can request the information from your customer dashboard or by email. We will process your request within one month.
Right to object: You have the right to object to your data being processed by us for direct marketing purposes or withdraw your consent at any time. Should you object or withdraw your consent we will stop marketing to you and you will not hear from us again.
